Take a look at our latest community project ...

             The Boundless Playground at

                         Warrior's Path State Park

It’s likely that the late Darrell Rice, a civic leader and one of the originators of the concept of the boundless playground at Warrior’s Path State Park, never dreamed his image would be set in stone in a centerpiece that honors his memory much less that his dream would become reality.  With the help of numerous business and industry sponsors as well as outstanding community volunteers, the Boundless Playground is set to open in late winter or early spring 2007.  The Lion's Club has donated money and labor for the project.

Volunteers from throughout the community, including Lion's, helped to spread rubber playground mulch on the playground.

Lion's Club members left to right are Roy Dempsey, our 2006-07 President, Wayne Garland (facing away), Doug Haseltine, and Jim Fischer, prepare native plants and herbs for planting in the Sensory Garden.

"In The News"

But that small investment of time yielded a big payoff for the Church Hill couple's 5-year-old daughter Sophie, whose amblyopia, or lazy eye, was diagnosed in time to treat it.
